Q. How often do you send my mail?
A. As often as you like.
Q. What’s the best way to contact you to have my
mail sent?
A. You can call us toll-free at 1-800-800-0710 anytime and leave mailing
instructions. You can also email us at info@snowbirdmail.com.
We acknowledge every email so you’ll know we received your mailing
instructions.
Q. Is there an extra charge for two names on an account?
A. No.
Q. Do you have a physical street address?
A. Yes. We’re located at 914 SW Coast Hwy, Suite 104, Newport, Oregon
97365.
Q. Do you recycle junk mail?
A. Yes, at your request we recycle catalogs, magazines, advertisements
and mail sent presorted standard (“junk mail”).
Q. I’m concerned about ID theft and fraud. How do
you protect my personal information?
A. Your protection and safety are of primary importance to us, too. We
shred all your unwanted
mail – credit card applications, financial investment reports and
proxies, non-profit solicitations – anything that could jeopardize
your security. All checks are posted and deposited daily.
Q. Where do you keep my credit card information?
A. We do not keep your credit card information in our computers. This
information is only on your application form (if you provide it to us)
or hand-written on your account record (which is kept in your mail folder).
Q. How does your mail forwarding service work?
A. Once you sign up, we’ll assign you a PMB (personal mailbox) number.
Then you notify your post office, your friends, family, and anyone who sends
you mail to change your address to:
Your
name
Your
PMB number
914
SW Coast Hwy., Suite 104
Newport,
OR 97365
Q. How and when do I remit postage funds?
A. When you sign up, we require a minimum of $15 to be deposited into your
postage reserve fund. Each time we send your mail, the postage is
deducted from your postage reserve fund. The balance of your fund is written
on the mailing label so you’ll always know how much you have left.
You can replenish your postage reserve fund by sending us a check or giving
us authorization to automatically charge your credit card when the fund
is low.
Q. Do you send my mail first class or priority?
A. We send first class as long as your mail doesn’t weigh more than
13.0 oz. total. Above that, it is sent priority – at a minimum
of $4.05 – and you can request that your mail always be sent priority.
Q. Can you send my mail overnight?
A. Yes.
Q. Can you tell me what is in my mailbox?
A. Yes. And if you’re waiting for a particular piece of mail, we’ll
keep an eye out for it and call you when it arrives.
Q. Will you open a letter addressed to me if I ask you to?
A. Yes.
Q. What happens if I don’t receive my mail before
I move to my next destination?
A. You can either leave a forwarding address with the post office where
you are leaving, or your mail will be sent back to us and we can forward
it to your next destination.
Q. What do you do with my mail after I close out my service?
A. When you decide to leave the traveling life and close your Snowbird
account, we’ll forward your mail to you for 30 days. After that any
first class mail will be returned to sender.
Q. Can your address be used to register my vehicles in the state of Oregon?
A. No. Oregon law requires you to be a resident of or domiciled in Oregon.
Q. Can you hold my mail for pick up?
A. Yes.
Q. Do you take credit cards?
A. Yes, we take Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
